DJ Raxeh

Bio

Originally born in North London, England, in a household full of music and those with a passion for it, Raxeh developed a taste in multiple genres of music, from a very young age.

This exposure to various types of music, in turn, allowed his creativity to manifest into what it is today, where you can see his versatility, not just in his mixes, but in many things he does, outside of DJing too.

Growing up I had an older sister who was massively into Niche & Garage music, an older brother into Hip Hop, Dubstep, Old School Dub, Jungle & DnB, a mother into Reggae & Dancehall & a father into Funk, Soul & R&B…’ – Raxeh

Music & Arts ran in the family for Raxeh, as his father was also a DJ in the 80s, his mother a Dancehall enthusiast, his sister studied performing arts in Manchester and then went to feature in a few short films, his brother has been involved in music production, rapping, song writing, photography & filmography, so it was a given that Raxeh would follow in a similar path to the rest of his family.

Raxeh & the family moved out of London when he was only 6, for pastures new, by the age of 11 he’d landed in Nottingham, where he’d attend an academy from 2006 – 2011, by the age of 19, he’d decided he wanted to travel the world & DJ.

Since 19, Raxeh has been releasing mixes on Mixcloud, creating content and merchandise to assist in building his brand as a DJ, whilst honing his skills as a DJ, he’s also been overseas DJing as well as that, he’s recently began his ‘Riddims x Harmony’ clothing brand.

I moved about quite a bit when I was young, I’ve lived in the countryside, where I’ve been the only other black face for miles and also in cities, where it’s full of culture, I’ve still not decided what I prefer yet…
